Katie Haslett | president & financial advisor

Katie initially started working in insurance when her mother, Jeannie, founded Haslett Financial over 32 years ago. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at Bishop’s University, graduating with distinction, then completed a Master of Arts degree from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto before becoming a licensed insurance advisor in 2004. Since then, she has acquired a Certified Health Insurance Specialist designation for disability living benefits, has been awarded a National Quality Award from Advocis, and is a Million Dollar Round Table member, a distinction reserved for only the top six percent of agents worldwide. Katie became president of Haslett Financial in 2024 and advises clients on all aspects of personal insurance. Her passion for helping to protect her clients at difficult times in their lives stems from her own personal experience on the claim side of disability insurance. With her expert knowledge and her honest and reliable approach, Katie is an informed leader in the industry.
Paul Munnis | vice president & financial advisor

Paul became a licensed insurance advisor and joined Haslett Financial in 2007 following a successful career in senior management at Olympic Industries, Canada’s leading forest products company. In 2011, he received his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation from the Institute for Advanced Financial Education, which makes him an authority in life insurance strategies as it’s widely recognized as a mark of excellence in the financial service industry. He’s also a member of the Million Dollar Round Table and has been awarded a National Quality Award from Advocis. Paul is committed to helping clients meet their financial goals and oversees an extensive range of personal insurance coverage. He was appointed vice president in 2020 and ensures Haslett Financial is a recognized leader in the financial planning industry.
Jeannie Haslett | founder, CEO, & financial advisor

Over 32 years ago, Jeannie left a successful dental career and began a completely new venture when she founded Haslett Financial. Jeannie’s winning combination of client service, dependability, and professional excellence has earned her accolades, which she’s done consistently from the outset. She’s a life member of the Million Dollar Round Table, has been awarded a National Quality Award from Advocis, and is ranked third in Canada for the management of income replacement and disability solutions.
Kevin Van Hullebush | operations manager & financial security advisor

Kevin joined Haslett Financial in 2016 after a 20-year career as a sommelier, and he brings his considerable management and customer relations experience to oversee the smooth running of the office. Kevin works closely with the talented office team to ensure our clients get the most up-to-date information possible and in a timely manner. Kevin received his certified financial security advisor qualification in 2018 and assists our clients with life, disability, critical illness, and health insurance options.
Alex Orasa | office manager
LLQP
Alex has a background in special education and worked for the Developmental Disabilities Association, where he managed the inclusive school age program prior to joining Haslett Financial in 2023. He graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and a minor in Economics in 2016, and has completed his Life License Qualification Program (LLQP) certification. While at UBC, he played on the men’s varsity soccer team, where he was part of two National CIS title championships, and now, in his spare time, he coaches youth soccer. Alex currently works on the client services side of the business as the office manager of Haslett Financial.
